DermaQuest Skin Therapy, one of the 7 companies sued by Allergan, Inc. in a patent infringement case over a prostaglandin-based ingredient, was dismissed from the suit by certified letter from Allergan on December 6, 2007. The lash conditioning product sold by DermaQuest Skin Therapy named DermaLash, is sold to the professional skincare market, and was found after inspection by Allergan not to contain any ingredients or drugs infringing on their patent of Lumigan.

“Upon notification of the lawsuit by Allergan, DermaQuest and I informed the public that our lash-conditioning product never had drugs or patent infringing ingredients in its formulation,” said Sam Dhatt, owner of DermaQuest Skin Therapy. “I promptly submitted the complete ingredient list and all necessary paperwork to Allergan, Inc. to prove our innocence in this case and asked for prompt dismissal.”
